Cold Heart

I feel this coldness inside

closing up the heart that opened

blocking off words and memories

seeing my pain reflected upon my face.

Tears forming

A void in me.

Feeling lost...so full of aching thoughts...

A cry releases, seeing your pictures...remembering your voice.

The pain becomes a darkness of cooling ice.

Turning away the heart that has opened

squeezing every feeling out again.

wiping away the tears that drown my face.

There is no fire left in you for me...

Stepping back, i feel this pain wanting to break me down...

feeling how insignificant I truly am...how i am nothing to you...

Trying to stand once more

I box away the love and desire.

knowing all along you are my only...

and now all i have to do to stand once more

and have nothing left inside of me but a cold heart.
